Quick Query, University Support Plan and Support Review appointments can usually take place over the telephone or video call if you'd prefer. Please let the receptionist know when booking.

On Friday afternoons during term time we offer Quick Query appointments at the Barnes Wallis building on North Campus.

University Support Plan appointments

This is a very important appointment that determines the support that we can give you. It is booked in for 1 hour, but you can request a second appointment if you feel you need more time. You’ll be contacted by our administration team to book this appointment when you’ve given us all the information we need.

If you’ve been asked to book this appointment, please contact us.

  • Phone our reception team on +44 (0)161 275 7512.
  • Visit the Disability Advisory and Support Service reception any time between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Educational Psychologist's appointments

You’ll need to attend our ‘do I have dyslexia?’ workshop before you can book an Educational Psychologist appointment. There are a limited number of these appointments each year, so book on the workshop as soon as you can.

Educational Psychologists are the people who can diagnose dyslexia/dyspraxia.

If you have attended the ‘do I have dyslexia?’ workshop and are now ready to book, please contact us.

  • Phone our reception team on +44 (0)161 275 7512.
  • Visit the Disability Advisory and Support Service reception any time between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Support review appointments

If you feel like your support needs to be changed, you can make a Support Review Appointment. Some of the more specific reasons to book these appointments can be found below.

  • You feel your needs have changed and your support plan doesn’t reflect them any more.
  • You’re going on placement and feel your needs will be different.
  • You’ve been struggling with a particular area of your course, such as in labs or during exams.

If you feel you need a support review appointment, please contact your Disability Adviser in the first instance.
